Polerys
As you may know, I have a sailboat that I’m rebuilding. In the process, I renamed it, and needed a logo.
The layout was pretty straight forward. I just found a font I liked and gave it an outline. Then I created a beach silhouette because I love those. Lastly, I added a sunset in the background. And, of course, the location.
Not bad, considering this was done in Inkscape.
Getting it printed was a bit of a hassle because there was something wrong with the sunset. Even though I couldn’t see it, the computers could see the sunset in the “transparent” areas between the letters.
Once we got that sorted, they printed two copies of the full size logo, and two copies of a smaller black and white version for the life rings.
I did make a change, after the fact, and moved the boat so it would be in the honeycomb part of the logo. That way I could isolate that as an icon.
